About Us
CDM started in the Northwest in 1976 and has expanded to six locations. CDM is the Church of Divine Man, CDM Spiritual Teaching Center and CDM Publications. Each part helps support our desire to bring spiritual information into the physical world.
The purpose of CDM is to awaken as many people as possible to their spirituality and spiritual abilities. The emphasis is on meditation techniques to create a safe spiritual opening and on clairvoyance and other spiritual abilities to be in charge of the process. The name Church of Divine Man has a double meaning; one, validating the Divine nature of Jesus Christ and all of the great teachers and two, acknowledging the Divine nature of all people.
CDM is focused on learning and growth, and encourages individual uniqueness and group cooperation. We use amusement a great deal to help lighten and brighten
the growth process.
Clairvoyant Readings
Clairvoyance is simply the ability to see clearly. In a CDM clairvoyant reading, trained psychic readers use this innate ability to see you, the spirit, and your creations. Clairvoyance is emphasized in every level of training to assist the student to see his/her unique information.
Teaching
The CDM Spiritual Teaching Center teaches powerful techniques that can help you turn within to yourself, the spirit. These tools help you stimulate your psychic abilities, become spiritually aware, consciously create what you want, experience inner peace and have more fun! Every class is a foundation for spiritual awakening.
Healing
At CDM, healing takes many forms: a cleansing aura healing, a neutral clairvoyant reading or the joy of silent meditation. CDM healers assist you to move energy to create change. We use a non-touch healing technique to help others heal. Everyone has the ability to heal themselves and can learn to consciously heal.
Community
The support and encouragment to focus on a spiritual path is provided by our community. The group supports the spiritual teachings and provides the opportunity to interact with like minded souls. Our community helps lighten and brighten the path with laughter, food and fun.
History
CDM was founded by Mary Ellen Flora and Menuard (Doc) Slusher in Seattle, Washington, USA, in 1976. From CDM's beginning in Mary Ellen and Doc's residence, the organization has grown to six locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Mary Ellen also founded CDM Publications and CDM Spiritual Teaching Center.
Many students have been ordained as ministers by CDM and have gone on to work as staff members, to create their own spiritual organizations, to read, teach or use the information in a variety of healing avenues.
CDM Publications has published nine books and four audio CDs, plus many articles and audio-video presentations. CDM Spiritual Teaching Center offers classes, readings and healings to anyone who wishes to participate in this spiritual discipline. All three aspects of CDM have grown and matured in its 34 years.
CDM is founded on our Purpose, Creed & Practice, which includes using our spiritual techniques daily. CDM is incorporated in Washington, Oregon and throughout Canada, and continues to grow. |
